State/Province:
OH
Country:
United States
Current Affiliation:
The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital
Current Position:
Research Fellow
Career Highlights:
My main research interests are molecular mechanisms in the development of liver fibrosis and prevention/therapeutic intervention of liver fibrosis, and I have had several papers published in international peer-reviewed journals.
In January 2008, I joined a premier connective tissue growth factor (CTGF, also known as CCN2) research lab, to study the molecular mechanisms of CTGF in hepatic stellate cells (HSC) function and in the development of liver diseases and fibrotic diseases in other organs such as pancreas.
I’ve been invited and have been serving as a referee for five international journals, including Gut, Liver International, Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Acta Pharmacologica Sinica. Since 2005 I also served as an editorial board member of World Journal of Gastroenterology, and recently was invited to be editorial board member of World Journal of Hepatology.
