Career Highlights:
I received a master’s degree in Image Processing and Recognition in 1987 and a doctor’s degree in Information and Communication Engineering in 1998 in Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. I am a professor of Information and Communication Engineering now. I have been engaging in long term in the teaching and research work of image processing and recognition, image / video compression, modern and intelligent signal processing (wavelet analysis / swarm intelligence / fractal / independent component analysis / chaos / fuzzy / adaptive filtering). I have directed and participated in National Natural Science Foundation, Projects of Jiangsu Economic and Commercial Committee, Aviation Science Foundation and large-scale projects cooperated with companies. Creative contribution has been made in image segmentation, image transform, target detection, contourlet/fractal-based image compression, wavelet/contourlet-based image/video watermarking, image matching, image fusion, fingerprint identification and license plate recognition.
Our developed products were shown in the international exhibition of electronic equipment and the international telecommunication exposition and applied in some systems, which were specially reported by well-known medias. I have published over 100 papers as the first author in core journals and international academic conference proceedings, in which more than 80 articles are from the retrieval source journal of EI. The quoting number of my papers is over 380. I have ever been rewarded because I got top 3 or 4 in the academic standings among all the teachers in NUAA . I am now the special assessment expert of over ten core journals and the director of Nanjing Information Industry Association. I ever worked as the deputy director of technology in grade-one national enterprise, which is also a type II state enterprise and a state-level key high-tech enterprise.
